Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains how TokenHunter handles information when you play at tokenhunter.game.
What stays on your device
Your progress, settings and Daily results, the boards and Series you make, the short links you have made, and a random device identifier are kept in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them. To keep your boards, use BACK UP in My Games, which saves them to a file on your device. A backup includes your gifts' messages and routes in readable form, so keep it private.
Links you share
A shared board travels inside the link, in the part after #. Browsers do not send that part to any server, including ours. Anyone who has the link can play the board and see its name and clue.
Short links
When you share from tokenhunter.game, the game makes a short link, like tokenhunter.game/b/F8k2Qm7pRa4Z#k=…, because chat apps can cut long ones. Your device locks the full link with a new key before anything is sent. We store only the locked copy, with its size, the date it was made, and the date it expires, one year later. We store no IP address and no account with it.
The key is in the short link after the #, and browsers never send that part to us. So we cannot read the board, its name, its clue or its gift. If our link database were ever leaked or disclosed, it would show those identifiers, sizes and dates, but not the contents of any board. The only way anyone, including us, can see what a short link holds is with the whole link. Shares made on game portals, such as CrazyGames or Poki, keep the full link and store nothing with us.
If someone reports a short link, we may delete its stored copy. After that, it can no longer be retrieved through TokenHunter. Anyone who already opened it may have kept the board, and our database provider keeps deleted records, still locked, for up to 30 days before they are gone.
Hidden gifts
A hidden gift is encrypted inside the link and opens only for someone who walks the route you drew. Anyone you forward the link to can try, and a gift cannot be taken back once the link is sent. Do not hide passwords, gift-card codes or anything else of value.
Information we collect
TokenHunter has no accounts and asks for no personal information. This website runs no analytics. The only thing it stores for you is the locked copy behind a short link, described above. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes network information such as your IP address to deliver the site, and may record standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request, for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.
Cookies
TokenHunter does not set cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for security and abuse prevention.
Links to other sites
A gift can be a link to another website. Opening it takes you to that site, and its own privacy policy applies there.
Playing on a game portal
If you play TokenHunter on another site, such as CrazyGames or Poki, that site's privacy policy covers its own services, including any ads and analytics it runs.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to act on what you tell us, such as a report of abuse.
Children's privacy
Anyone can play TokenHunter, and it asks no one, child or adult, for personal information. Making and sharing boards and gifts is for ages 13 and up, or younger with a parent's or guardian's permission (see the Terms of Use). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above will be revised.
